A commemorative First Day Cover issued by Cotswold Covers in 1974 to mark the centenary of Sir Winston Churchill’s birth.
The envelope features four commemorative stamps (4½p, 5½p, 8p, and 10p) illustrating Churchill at different stages of his life, including his time as a war correspondent and in his Royal Yacht Squadron uniform.
The cover is postmarked October 9, 1974 (Preston, Lancashire) and displays a colour illustration of Blenheim Palace, Churchill’s birthplace.
