A striking pair of antique Flow Blue plates, featuring a detailed Moorish castle and lake scene, commonly referred to as “Old Istanbul” or “Romantic Blue Mosque Medina” designs. Produced in the Victorian era, Flow Blue transferware is renowned for its characteristic blurred cobalt-blue decoration, achieved through a unique glazing process.
These plates are crafted from hard or premium porcelain, typical of 19th-century production, and reflect the elegant and romantic aesthetic popular at the time. The plates may display minor signs of age, such as worn gilded edges or small edge chips, which add to their antique charm.
