Monthly Stamp / Philatelic Auction - Rare | Collectable | GB & Worldwide
A Switzerland 1960 Fribourg Cantonal Messenger 10 Rappen used postage stamp. This perforated paper stamp features a white outline illustration on a turquoise background. The central design depicts a historical figure, identified as a Fribourg Cantonal Messenger, dressed in a hat, tunic, and boots, holding a spear in one hand and an unidentified object in the other, with a small dog at their feet. The word “HELVETIA” is printed vertically along the left edge, and the numeral “10” is in the bottom right corner, indicating a denomination of 10 Rappen. A prominent circular postmark partially obscures the central design and the denomination.
