A Great Britain 1936 King George VI 1 1/2d postage stamp. This perforated stamp is predominantly reddish-orange in color, featuring a right-facing profile portrait of a crowned male monarch, King George VI. The stamp is inscribed vertically with “POSTAGE” on the left margin and “REVENUE” on the right. A circular emblem at the bottom center displays the denomination “1 1/2D”. Decorative elements surrounding the portrait include a rose in the upper left, a thistle in the upper right, and a sprig of shamrocks in the lower right, with additional foliage in the lower left. This design is characteristic of British or Commonwealth issues from the mid-20th century.
