A pair of classic Wedgwood Jasperware trinket boxes, made in England and showcasing the distinctive style that has made Jasperware a favourite among collectors since the 18th century.
Crafted from unglazed stoneware with a matte finish, both boxes feature crisp white bas-relief decorations on a pale blue ground — a hallmark of traditional Wedgwood design. One box displays a scene with classical figures, possibly representing mythological or seasonal themes. The other features a charioteer motif surrounded by floral and star embellishments.
These boxes were designed for holding small keepsakes or jewellery and remain decorative objects in their own right. They are of the popular 5 x 3 inch type and are comparable to similar pieces currently selling online for over £35 each.
