A pair of early 20th-century British or British Commonwealth postage revenue stamps, both depicting a bearded monarch in profile facing left. The first stamp, in an orange-brown hue, features the monarch’s bust surmounted by a crown, a rose, and another emblem, with “POSTAGE” visible vertically on the left, “REVENUE” partially visible on the right, and a numerical “2” at the bottom. The second stamp, in a red-brown color, displays the monarch within an oval frame flanked by stylized sea creatures, with “1½” in the top corners, “POSTAGE” and “REVENUE” on banners above the portrait, and “THREE HALFPENCE” clearly printed along the bottom.
