A beautiful vintage porcelain collector’s plate attributed to Josef Kuba (JKW) of Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary), Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, dating from the 1930s–1950s. This finely detailed plate forms part of the “Cries of London” series, inspired by 18th-century street vendors of London.
The central scene depicts a man and woman with a dog, titled “Who’ll Buy My Lavender”, surrounded by a royal blue and gold border with intricate gilded accents. Though this example bears no visible backstamp, the design and craftsmanship are characteristic of Josef Kuba’s decorative porcelain from the mid-20th century.
