Hand-carved wood with polychrome batik-style paint. Hand-painted by an anonymous artisan featuring traditional titik dotting and gold-coloured floral motifs. Dust jacket not applicable.

No signatures, dates, or inscriptions are present on the front or reverse of the object.

The mask features a stylised representation of the Panji Semirang character, a central figure in Javanese folklore. The facial surface is decorated with a dense pattern of minute beige dots against a dark ground, accented with gold-toned floral and scrollwork motifs on the forehead and beneath the eyes. The reverse is finished in a dark tone with a repeating pattern of small gold-coloured flowers and includes a thin metal wire for hanging.
