This lot features two vintage technical handbooks from the renowned Pitman’s Motor-Cyclists’ Library, published by Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons, Ltd., London. The first volume is The Book of the Sunbeam by Heathcote, a specialised guide for the maintenance and operation of Sunbeam motorcycles. The second volume is a fifth-edition copy of The Book of the Norton by W. C. Haycraft, dated 1948, which provides comprehensive coverage for Norton models from 1932 onwards. This Norton edition carries significant provenance as a former reference copy from the Harris Public Library and Preston Public Libraries. It retains its original internal lending sheet, displaying numerous date stamps from 1950 to 1952, alongside a Restricted Issue classification label.
